My Ohio State House Representative is trying to kill me.

My Ohio State House Representative, Shane Wilkin, and 54 other non-progressives in both parties are trying to kill me, my family, and yours. Ohio HB 393 is a contract on all families living, or visiting in Ohio. That’s a local #HumanRights violation against #FamilyFreedom and #PoisonFreeCommunities.

The moral mission of government is to protect us and empower its residents. Family freedom from fear of corrupt corporations putting our lives at risk is a human right. Freedom from fear of corrupt corporate accomplices inside government putting our lives at risk is also a human right. If we can’t be free from fear, then our lives have no value, our representatives are morally bankrupt, and we could die.

Is that too harsh? The oil and gas industry, led by Exxon, has been killing us since 1957. They’ve been killing us for profit — slowly, like a frog put in a pot of cold water to boil on a stove — slowly but surely. Their extreme conservative philosophy is killing us.

Former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger sued Exxon for first degree murder last March. We’re talking about #FamilyClimateSurvival. Ohio government’s moral mission to protect and empower human beings has apparently been stolen by the corrupt oil and gas industry in Ohio and Shane Wilkin is helping them.

I don’t want to be poisoned by fossil fuels or their by products any more? I don’t want my elected representatives to trust the poisoners more than they trust us and civil society organizations like the Ohio Environmental Council? This is not the OEC’s first #FamilyClimateSurvival rodeo.

Now #FamilyClimateSurvival is up to the Ohio Senate. I hope my senator, Bob Peterson, will respect, protect, and promote the human right to government of, by, and for the people versus cold-blooded killers. It’s now up to Bob to save our lives from a slow death.
